I found this article about the relationship between Calvin and Hobbes and Fight Club. If anyone else knows about it, please feel free to reply. I thought it was hilarious. If I can find it, I'll post it.

Later peeps.

HI, is it ok if i join? My story is.. i have been reading Calvin and Hobbes for as long as i can remember, and i have about 14 of the books, which is almost all of them. When i was little, my friend and i would act out strips and perform them for our parents.
Oh also, I am learning about John Calvin and Thomas Hobbes who the stip is named for in history right now.

So I just joined.
I think I'll introduce myself by basically telling you my Calving and Hobbes history.
My dad read these to me when I was little.
I grew up on them, and they relate extremely close to my childhood, minus the Hobbes part of things.
I own every book, and recently started the process of reading every single one again.
But yeah, now to the hot stuff.
What's everyone's take on The Noodle Incident?

All hail club Get Rid of Slimy girlS! Today on the agenda, cite the first experience you had with the great Calvin and Hobbes. This can be any length and in any format. I will now report: My first experience of Calvin and Hobbes came from a school raffle in 6th grade. There were different categories of prizes that you could choose from, and winners were announced over the intercom. I spent all the money I had on the cartooning section of the raffle, and of course I won. Inside was a few garfield books, some instructional books, and "The Lazy Sunday Book" collection of Sunday C&H strips. I fell in love.

Hola
Please rise for the triumphant return of dictator-for-life Reynoldbot! I have finally returned from my extended leave and wish to revive this wonderful club. On the first note, Calvin and Hobbes may be featured in my senior exhibition, which focuses on advertising. Calvin and Hobbes talked about advertising and specifically tv commercials and branding many times, so there is a good chance that I will sneak one of those commercials into my exhibition.

Dinner Party Assignment
I have an assignment in which I must invite 12 people for a dinner party, plan the party out, etc. Here is my list in ABC Order, newly revised.

Jimmy Carter
Harry Chapin*
Cesar Chavez
Albert Einstein
Mohandas Gandhi*
Dag Hammarskjold
Martin Luther King Jr.
Michael Moore*
Ralph Nader
Jesus of Nazareth
Henry David Thoreau*
Walt Whitman*

I noticed that for the most part, I have invited males of western-european descent, and have not invited any females. Does anyone have any suggestions about people to consider for the list? I am leaning strongly towards adding the poet Sor Juana. The five people with stars by their names are five people I insist on having at the dinner party.

Calvin lost by 33 votes...if all of the member of Club Gross got out the vote and told at least one person to vote for Calvin...I am sure he would have won.

C A L V I N B A L L ! ! !
yo, folks.
here's question for yous all...
i'm guessing most of you wish to believe hobbes does actually come to life, but only for calvin, instead of hobbes simply being an imaginary friend.
well, that MY take on it, anyway.

but, you guys know that strip where calvin is tired of moe beating up on him, and decides to take hobbes to beat the bejeeshush out of moe? what if moe had actually touched hobbes?
do you think, on a realistic plane, calvin would've beat the crap out of moe himself and given credit to hobbes?
i always thought about that.
i dunno why.
lol.
